in greek the sound "happy" means a pill. so the 2012 charm i am wearing is a 12mg pill! it comes in three colours: green for money, pink for sexy and blue for happy. of course i got the blue one, cause i'm already too rich and too sexy (and too funny! haha). which one would you choose?

the christmas of the cat

this year all i want to do is stay curled up by the fireplace like a cat, watch cartoons and christmas movies and eat candies. and this is pretty much what i've done by now... yesterday i watched -among others- the movie the boy and the tree, which is based on a story by Eugene Trivizas, one of the most innovative storytellers of our time.

some thoughts

the situation, that my generation has been experiencing worldwide, has put me into thinking... young, educated people doing jobs that are completely demeaning for them, unable to react... creative young people being unemployed... i am wondering: are we the new proletariat? is the fact that we are educated changing something? can we understead what's going on, and -above all- can we react and bring a change?

today i went to a symposium that my university organised about heinrich von kleist. it's a three-day-thing so i'll be going again. it was so nice to be among good friends and professors and to listen to interesting lectures... it made me realise once more how much i miss the academic envinronment, how much i love literature and how awful my current job is! hope for a change!

though it is kind of early to take up a blog-habbit, i found it nice to publish a "so true" post every monday. this weeks "so true" is something that, sadly, describes a very large part of my life!

this morning the bus drivers were on strike so i walked to work, though i would very much like to go on something like this...

of course i would also like to live in a much more bike-friendlier city, but that's another story! 

it's a beautiful day

it was a nice day today! in the morning i finished all the stupid bureaucratic paperwork of mine and then went for a coffee with a dear dear friend of mine! we had a huge slice of carrotcake and caught up with eachother.

then i headed to the uni, where i hardly ever go now that i have a full time job, and attended a lecture about the poetic of oblivion (i have no idea if it's called so in english!) in the work of franz kafka and saw another dear friend of mine. what else could i ask for? a day spent with friends is a nice day! especially when you don't get to see them often!

it's been a hectic day at work today. on second thoughts, every day is a hectic day at work. now chilling out with some music before i catch up with the paperwork again. arggggghhhh!!!
